The human being is understood as the coexistence of a conscious faculty and a body. The function of understanding in a human being is performed by the conscious faculty, which we call "Jivan". The programme of understanding is called "Jivan Vidya". The "Vidya" is understood in the Jivan, by the Jivan and for the Jivan.Jivan Vidya Nyas was setup with the goal of realizing upon this earth, a vision that is now known as "Saha-astitwa-vad". Most significantly, every entity In existence is seen to have a meaningful and harmonious role to fulfill in its co-existence with other entities. This inherent harmony in existence becomes evident when one understands the relationships between entities. We call this inherent harmony the "Saha-Astitwa".
What we see as problems in the world today have their roots in the fact
that human beings do not have a clear understanding
of their relationships with other humans and with the animal, plant and
material species. In a nutshell, human society
is suffering from a lack of understanding of things and their inter-relationships.
The "Saha-astitwa vision"
provides this understanding. With the correct understanding of relationships
the plans and programmes of human beings become
harmonious. Moreover, since only the human species on this planet has
the potential to understand, finding solution to
all problems is the responsibility of humans.
